Business Time

So 918 Photo has taken some time, thought about it, and decided yes.  Yes, we should probably operate as an actual business and get some clients.

So we did!  Huzzah!

Yes, the client count has moved forward to 1!  In a row!

It's an exciting day here (even if the shoot isn't for a week and a half still), one which we're really looking to build on.  One which will lead to a few more additions to the site in the coming days (payment options, an actual list of our rates, other business type things), so keep an eye out for that stuff.

So in a couple of weeks you'll all get to see some officially sanctioned 918 Photo "work."  We'll have some selections from the shoot, it'll be super official.  Woo.

For now though, more dog pictures!

FC, LSPotS (Part 2)

Now that's a post title!

So here we have the second half of the pictures I posted earlier in the week. It's mostly a return engagement for Bella. I know how you've all been asking for more dog pictures. Don't think I'm not listening, people want to see more dog photos, they get more dog photos!

I'm going to try to give a litle more background on the photos that are posted here from now on. I'm really uncertain as to what else I can talk about at the moment, while 918 Photo continues to have 0 (zero?!) clients. Even with clients, it might help potential clients to hear a little bit about the who/what/when/where of the photos. So, info!

That picture that you see at the top of the post (and larger at the bottom) has quickly become one of my favorite photos ever. This was taken mid-afternoon at the end of a very full weekend which my pup (Olive) spent running Bella into the ground. It had gotten to the point where she was no longer interested in what Olive was up to, and would just sort of sit in a spot near Olive and just watch. Sleepily.

Fingers Crossed, Last Snow Pictures Of The Season (part 1)

Ok, so here come the more regular updates. Hopefully...

So I've been talking about the weather in these posts pretty often, and that's for a few reasons. One, the weather has been odd. Two, it's that time of the year when we're stuck between seasons, and man, you HAVE to talk about the weather! Three, I am an enormous weather nerd.

So to continue the tradition, did you know there's still snow in the hills of Connecticut? Fact! Here's a little photographic evidence compiled over the past couple of weeks.

This pup is Bella. My parents dog, a puggle, a fatty. A fact (the fat part) that my parents only ever seem to notice in the pictures I take of her. So I'm taking a lot in an attempt to get them to notice she is super fat and needs to start working out. This update and the next will be full of Bella shots, so enjoy the fatness!

Aside from being so large, she's also a cuddly sweetheart, which you can see in those eyes. She always looks like she needs a hug, and boy does she love to be hugged. So it works out well for her.

Spring Fever

New client special! To remind everyone, we'll be offering our services at an extremely discounted price to our new clients for a limited time. Contact us for all the details, but now is an excellent time to try us out and see for yourself that 918 Photo takes some snazzy pictures.

So it was lovely last week. 50's, sunny, beautiful. Days later... not so much.

But I'm here today with some great shots from this past summer to help ease the pain. Or make it worse. I'm not sure which we're accomplishing, but I am (almost) certain... something is being accomplished. Probably.
